Mr. Aschebrook is the President and Founder of GENTRY Private Capital LLC, and brings several years of experience in the Investment Banking industry. Mr. Aschebrook began his career in the financial industry by raising capital for private companies. His current specialization is in GreenTech and Natural Resources. Mr. Aschebrook serves as the Managing Member of the investment Bank and oversees all aspects of GENTRY’s business practices. He is a successful businessman owning multiple businesses and previously served as a Vice-President level administrator for five large academic institutions. John P. Swift Chief Investment Officer
Mr. Swift is responsible for client affairs at GENTRY Wealth Management. In this role, he specializes in building client relationships and developing and maintaining their financial plans. Mr. Swift works with outside and inside advisors on tax, trust & estate, family office and wealth succession planning. He effectuates capital market transactions of private equity and alternative investment positions, and provides consulting on investment hedging, asset/liability analysis and low-basis stock diversification strategies. He determines asset allocation of investment portfolios and provides capital market updates and strategic asset allocation directives for the firm. Mark Zanders Senior Managing Director, Affiliate Program
Mr. Zanders oversees GENTRY’s institutional investor relationships, including fund-of-funds, sovereign and strategic funds, foreign finders and other non-retail investors. Before he joined GENTRY, Mr. Zanders was the Senior Operating Partner at ZGC, LLC where he worked to build its U.S. gaming and entertainment M&A practice. In this role, he was responsible for attracting and structuring institutional, retail and individual investments for the firm’s various private real estate funds and associated acquisitions. Additionally, Mr. Zanders oversaw the syndication of over $100 million of retail funds and private equity investments and several more structured financings for emerging growth companies. Ben J. Malkin, Corporate Counsel & Executive Vice President of Investment Banking
Mr. Malkin is the senior attorney in GENTRY’s Chicago office. Mr. Malkin serves as counsel to the Firm and is the Managing Partner of Malkin Law Group LLC. Mr. Malkin’s business practice encompasses mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and other private equity transactions as well as forming and organizing all types of new business entities. Mr. Malkin has advised and represented a wide range of entrepreneurial companies at all stages of development, from initial company formation to liquidity event. Mr. Malkin has worked on numerous mergers, acquisitions and sale transactions involving both public and private companies. Mr. Malkin also has expertise on various secured and unsecured financing transactions for lending institutions and public and private borrowers. Mr. Malkin advises our business services clients on forming and capitalizing their corporations and other business entities, and drafts and negotiates shareholder agreements, operating agreements, joint venture agreements, and business contracts. Additionally, Mr. Malkin’s accounting background allows him to effectively counsel our clients to structure their transactions in a tax efficient manner. Mr. Malkin spent several years a Sr. Attorney at Clark Hill’s in Clark Hill’s Corporate Practice Group in its Chicago office before joining GENTRY. Glenn E. Gottfried, Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Gottfried is responsible for supporting all GENTRY Private Capital, LLC clients with the experience and connections he brings from leading privately and publicly held companies and their divisions through growth, acquisition and monetization events. Glenn is involved in all aspects of the GENTRY business and leads the Mergers and Acquisition and Business Advisory Services division of the company. As an M&A and advisory specialist, he works closely with GENTRY clients to help define their business goals, develops an execution plan and then implements or supports the implementation of the plan. Prior to GENTRY, Mr. Gottfried was the CEO of a privately held marketing and collections information services company that was sold to a division of a publicly traded firm, the president of a division of Thomson Financial (now, Thomson Reuters) that was sold to the private equity firm, InvestCorp, and is on the Board of Directors of a venture backed immigration visa services provider and on the Board of Advisors of a privately held risk management software company. Mr. Gottfried has successfully applied his expertise to a number of market verticals including financial services, education, legal services, banking, real estate and media/telecom; and across a variety of functional operations including marketing, sales, payments, collections, risk, HR and securities processing.
